《使命召唤8：现代战争3》是由Sledgehammer Games,Infinity Ward联合制作，Activision发行的一款第一人称FPS游戏，是是“现代战争”系列的第三部，《使命召唤》系列第八部作品。游戏主要讲述了以马卡洛夫为首的极端左派组织控制了俄罗斯绝大部分军火资源和军事资源，企图独裁整个俄罗斯和欧洲，马卡洛夫凭借军事上的优势，攻占了俄罗斯机场和总统的飞机，策划并绑架了俄罗斯总统和其女儿，挑起了第三次世界大战，整个美国和欧洲都陷入战火之中。游戏同时揭晓了“现代战争”系列主角的去向与秘密。
